Art.
A slowly-expanding entry about Brandon Bird.
Man of the day: Brandon Bird.
A California artist with a mastery of one thousand styles, Brandon make paintings that are restrained yet terribly funny, putting absurdity in such a sincere light that only McSweeney’s can really hope to match.
Check out The Lesson Of The Geese, or The Anguish, two of my favorites.
I originally found him by being linked to his The Norton Anthology exhibit.

Funk.
See funk here.

Good news: There is a good chance I’ll get a new laptop for Christmas. Well, in January.
Bad news: The old one is pretty much dead.
Also, the guys digging holes in my street all week drilled a hole in my wall and in the floor while I was at work. They claim “someone” will come fix it today. Huh.
Wow, the keyboard’s totally out? Geez.
And, make sure you Flickr some shots of those holes, if they don’t get fixed. That is good internet content!
