I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about RTmark’s redesign. The ‘projects’ and ‘protester’ sections are wonderful.

I have decided to take up a game I hate after reading this long, long article. My first attempt against a Javascript CPU-opponent on ‘easy’ resulted in the loss of my queen in four turns. Will keep you posted.

Senator Orrin Hatch:
“Nobody denies that [Saddam Hussein] was supporting al-Qaeda… Well, I shouldn’t say nobody. Nobody with brains.”

Doug: “Yeah?”
VP: “Does the word ‘fired’ mean anything to you?”
Doug: “I….no?”
VP: “Well, okay then.”

I dreamt that as I was heading into work, I found a rare, purple, flightless bird that I didn’t think was from around here, and I played with it. And then I saw an Australian hopping mouse. And then, in front of Gerard, a hyena. “Oh, man,” I said, “Trouble at the zoo!”

SJ sent me this cute little ad, unaware that it featured a gorgeous acoustic cover of The Knife’s Heartbeats (featured here).

While I don’t feel like telling you to watch the ad, I do want you to download my extracted version of the song, by José González.

EDIT:
The always-adept Aly has posted a nicely filled-out entry on the same ad, with a link to some fancy Flickr photos of the actual shoot.

Personal.  |

Not that I was exactly writing fyooriously, but I am now on a brief blog break while I take care of the 900 things that are more important than listlessly expounding on my medical/political/emotional afflictions.

Note: The only thing less significant than refusing to blog is posting about it.
