Aly: ok
Doug: i just got a blog comment from someone supposedly behind one of the Lost sites (a fake site for a scientist called Enzo Valenzetti)
Doug: it links back to a page about this guy who’s into life extension
Doug: and has a link, from there, to “our famous ancestor, milo rambaldi”
Aly: ha
Doug: i google that guy and all i get is Alias forums
Doug: i also get one of his diagrams, which matches a diagram on Lost pretty closely
Doug: so this guy is part of the mythos of alias? do i have to watch another show now?
Aly: rambaldi is pretty central to alias
Aly: so … maybe
Aly: what’s the diagram?
Doug: a lot of his sketches have that eight-sided stuff
Aly: only the first two seasons were really rambaldi-heavy, and the last half of s3
Aly: and the very end of s4
Doug: which is the Dharma symbol on Lost, and it seems to be how the islands magnetism works
Aly: interesting
Aly: that’s a head trip, that the two shows might be connected
Doug: yeah, well, i can’t figure out if valenzetti foundation is an official lost thing or not
Doug: but what happened is,
Doug: sunday night, a guy registers four different sites with the name “valenzetti”
Doug: a name with zero google hits
Doug: and wednesday night, the Lost map is on the show, this huge detailed map with tons of mysterious notes, and one refers to Valenzetti Project
Doug: so people google it, find out that three days before, someone bought up all those domains…i mention it in my blog….this morning, a guy from that IP leaves me a comment
Doug: and his site links to rambaldi
Doug: it’s probably a great way to make crazy lost fans watch Alias during the summer
Doug: curses!
Doug: the RFID tag on the photo on his site reads “Enzo Valenzetti in Alvar’s wartime lab,” Alvar being the scientist behind the entire dharma project
Doug: aaaaugh. this will kill me.
