Personal.  |

As the redesign pushes forward, I find that I’m less and less interested in writing here. Hopefully, the redesign will rectify this: It’s full of crazy styles for music files, images, lists, and all the annoying hyperactive asides that I can’t seem to do a blog post without.

This is my busiest week in ages, both at work and with freelance. Oy! Tomorrow, I get to help present two of my designs to our biggest client, and this weekend, I get to present another design to my personal biggest client. Nerves.

Letting the cats back into the bedroom has been a blessing and a curse. One one hand, they wander all around and make cute noises and look into my face as I slip off. On the other, J starts attacking my feet at 7 am sharp, and then knocks a cologne bottle or book off of the highest surface he can find. It’s remarkably pleasant to wake up next to a friend, but it’s a pain in the ass to chase one around all morning with a bottle full of water. “NO. WE DO NOT SCRATCH THE BED. NO. Now we’re locked out of the room! See how we like that!”

Today, I spent twenty minutes reading over an old Metafilter thread I’d found. I noticed a particular comment, and thought, “What a jackass,” but scrolled down to realize that the commentor had been ME. How things have changed. Maybe.

Currently On The Side-Project Docket:

Blog Redesign In Django. Need to finish a working skeleton, then I can start putting the design in. Note to all Django users: If you don’t Null the fields you create before hitting SyncDB, you’ll create content-necessary tables in mySQL. If you don’t want this (and you don’t, believe me, because you can always make Admin fields required later), make sure you Null=True every field on the first run.

Japanese. Shut up. I’m lazy.

Crazy Workout Mix. At the behest of Liz, and at the encouragement of Mele, I am slowly constructing a paced 2-hour workout mix using the program Audacity. When finished, it will contain nearly 90 songs.

Camera. While my camera’s flash has been problematic for some time, I recently declared it officially dead. The question is: Get a new flash (expensive), or save the money and get a whole new camera (considerably more expensive)?

Secret Project. Going secretively.

I have been literally yawning for about an hour now. I never yawn anymore! It must be nearly bedtime.
