I am officially an adult, I guess.
The really fascinating part about all this is how EASY technology has made it. In the past ten minutes, I’ve switched my insurance, registered with the county, notified the DMV of my sale, and lined up the manufacturer’s notification; all without talking to a single person. Woo!
Congratulations! What kind of car did you get?
2004 Civic. Rated “Most Sensible” by “Modern Yawns Monthly” magazine.
This wasn’t by any means a “just because” purchase. The old Oh Noesmobile needed a new catalytic converter, made howling noises when it went fast, dropped gears with a horrible shudder, and was costing me about 1500 a year in repairs alone. When I found out that its actual sale value was about 900, I realized I had reached the point where I had to spend money in order to save money.
A side note: The new car smells like Baby. But I’m sure it will go away soon.
Freaky about the smell. But congrats on the new car all the same. Yes, Civics are “sensible,” but I’m sure you’ll pimp it out and make it all your own.
And they’re incredibly reliable, so hopefully you’ll be spending less on it from year to year.
pimp it out indeed, let’s get some astroturf for the dashboard! or a double spoiler for the back and some spinny rims! or, no. none of those. any hint of what the new snappy tag will say? and baby smell, ewww.
The new tag will say “PSSYWAGN”.
Or “KITNLVR”.
I vote for PSSYWAGN myself… especially once you pimp that Civic out! Welcome to the Honda family, and congrats on the new car! Oh, and baby smells tend to linger; trust me, I know.
