In EE, dhe weblog display engine sets some parameters dynamically, based on what is in the URL. This means EE’s automagically going to try to figure out what category, type of entry, or range of entries you want outputted based on where your browser points to. While this is valuable in a lot of cases, in a lot more, it’s a totally baffling bug that requires much hair-pulling before you eventually reach the answer: Just switch dynamic to off in the exp:weblog tag.
